Challenge
Quil's approach to subscription management involved spreadsheets and custom scripts, which initially worked well during the startup phase. However, as their customer base grew, managing renewals, upgrades, downgrades, and cancellations became cumbersome. The founders spent hours each month generating invoices by hand. Furthermore, with manual spreadsheet tracking, they also had to manually tally their revenue metrics for internal tracking and investor updates.
